As a dedicated provider of quality veterinary care we provide our patients with both referral laboratory and on-site services. Pharmacy Dover Veterinary Hospital has a full in-house pharmacy for your pet's prescription needs. In addition to prescribed medications, we also carry various over the counter medications for heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Digital Radiography One key diagnostic tool available to our clients is our digital radiography services. This mode of diagnostic images provides not only superb, but even better image quality than film-based x-rays in a fraction of the time. This gives us greater diagnostic confidence while allowing us to begin treatment sooner, which many times can result in a far more positive outcome for the patient. Just as digital cameras have made photography easier and more efficient by eliminating film, DR systems provide our veterinarians with a radiographic image that can be viewed virtually immediately onsite at any connected review workstation. DR systems also offer sophisticated image processing tools, giving the doctor much greater depth of information that can be enlarged or manipulated for far better detail, resulting in closer scrutiny of potential areas of concern. Cremation Services The loss of a family pet can be very painful. In the event of the untimely and unfortunate death of your companion pet, our hospital can offer you a private, dignified, and caring cremation service. Your pet will be cared for with respect and dignity and returned to you as quickly as possible in a container appropriate for burial.
